Explore other UNESCO cultural landscapes in North Luzon like the Rice Terraces of the Philippines. Scale the 2,000-year-old Banaue Rice Terraces carved into the mountains by Ifugaos.

Make your way through the stunning mountain sceneries and forests. You can even stop at native communities along the way. Discover the fascinating culture of the Ifugaos and get a deeper appreciation of their traditions and local customs.

DAY BY DAY

Day 1: Arrival in Manila

Arrival at Manila International Airport Transfer to the hotel (15mins) in Makati City with nearby shopping centers and restaurants.

Day 2: Manila-Banaue

Private van will pick you up early in the morning to drive to Banaue (about 9-12 hours),  a small town in the heart of the mountains and rice terraces.

Day 3: Batad

Departure for the starting point of the path (1-hour jeepney) to Batad.  Enjoy a hiking trail to the small scenic village of Batad (2 hours walk).  

In the afternoon, you will discover a waterfall overlooking the Batad village below (for good walkers only).

Night hostel in the heart of the village with impressive views of the valley and the rice terraces of Batad, classified world heritage by UNESCO.

Day 4: Visit Bontoc-Banaue-Sagada

Return to starting point on foot (2 hours) then transfer by jeepney to Banaue (1 hour).

A private van will be waiting to take you to visit Bontoc and its museum devoted to the  Ifugao tribes and headhunters, if the weather permits. Then you will transfer to your small hotel in Sagada (2 hours)

Day 5: Tour of Sagada

Walking tour of the main attractions of Sagada like Echo Valley and the Ifugao burial cave, weaving workshop, hanging coffins (coffins hanging from the cliffs) and explanation of local rituals, and Sagada market (about 3-4 hours). Then you will go back to the hotel for the night.

Day 6: Sagada-Vigan

Morning departure to Vigan in a private van (9-12 hours). Cap off the night with a tour of the cobbled streets of Vigan, UNESCO heritage.

Day 7: Vigan

Kalesa (horse-drawn Carriage) tour of the main attractions of Vigan (2-3 hours). Places visited: Nueva Segovia, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Plaza Burgos, Crisologo Museum, Sqyuia Mansion, Bantay Bell Tower, Baluarte or Chavit, Pagburnayan, Hidden Garden.

Day 8: Tour and Laoag Pagudpud

Morning departure to Pagudpud, your next destination (about 3-4 hours by car). Along the way you will visit Laoag (places visited: Juan Luna Shrine, Marcos Museum, Paoay Church, Paoay Lake, Malacañang of the North, Pagudpud and Batac Empanadahan turn).

Then you will also discover the main attractions of the region Pagudpud (Burgos Light House, Windmills, Patapat Viaduct Bridge, Pagudpud Beach, Agua Grande). Night by the sea near the beach in Blue Lagoon.

Day 9: Pagudpud

Day off. Grab the opportunity to visit the beautiful beach of Saud (30minutes by car). No activity included.

Day 10: Pagudpud

Day off. For this last day by the sea, relax. For example, you can enjoy a massage! (Not included in the package)

Day 11: Tagaytay

Back to Laoag for your flight to Manila (car 2 hours and 1-hour flight).  Transfer to the little town of Tagaytay. Check into your hotel with a perfect view of Taal Volcano and Taal Lake (2 hours transfer by car).

Day 12: Tagaytay

Day off. Try to visit the small crater at Taal Volcano. Tour menu available at the hotel reception. No activity included.

Day 13: International flight

Breakfast at the hotel, free your room before 12 o’clock. Transfer to the airport for your international flight from Manila.
